New | Pete Doherty – Last Of The English Roses

Without the Libertines we are left with the Babyshambles. They are good in their own way, but nothing will ever touch the work that the Libertines put out. Pete Doherty is a major reason for both of the bands success, and now he has a solo album coming out. The album is called Grace/Wasteland and will see a release on March 16th. I got the first single for you: “Last Of The English Roses”. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from Doherty as a solo artist, but this song isn’t bad at all. There is a Gorillaz vibe to the song with the background noises and bass which is a nice touch. Pete did a nice job with it. I wounder if the rest of the album is as solid. Let’s see if it makes a splash. If not he may have to get back on the tabloids in other ways….his old ways…..yeah lets just hope the album does well!!!
