The new Yeah Yeah Yeahs record “It’s Blitz” is really warming up to me. You really gotta give it enough time to really absorb everything. Although it isn’t an explosive garage rock album that “Fever To Tell” is, it is a very solid electronic/rock album with a lot of great things going on. One of the most impressive songs off the album is “Hysteric”. I think it gives a pretty good idea of what the new album is about. The chorus is totally gorgeous! Throughout the song you can’t help but adore Karen O’s sweet pipes.
Many people are having trouble getting over the bands new direction. The band is changing and with this change shows some depth. It is brave to me. This song really shows a lot of development in many areas. With every listen I am getting more attached to the album, which is always a good sign of a keeper!

I love the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s new album. I know it is different from their old stuff and comparisons have been made to the Killers and their 80′s synth-pop album, but the YYY’s did it right! Honestly I cant find a bad song in the whole album.
