Browsing through websites and myspace for new music from fresh talent can be a bit tedious. You think you may have found the next it band, but they turn out to just be a fart in the wind. However, that is not quite nearly as bad as when you ignore a band and then see them headlining a major festival in 2 years. If you do find a band that you like, you really just know. Over the weekend I knew I found a special act. I would like to introduce Neon Indian to you.
Their background is just as intriguing and mysterious as their music. They are a duo who make music by sending music to each other. One of the members lives in Brooklyn, the other in Austin. (Postal Service style coming to mind??) These guys are delivering dreamy psychedelic tunes that are drenched in mystery.
They are working on a debut EP that will be called Psychic Chasms. This duo really sounds ahead of their time, I wonder if there is more to this group than we know about. Is it possible that these guys are keeping secretive because they are actually popular artists hiding under this project. Neon Indian have a great vibe going, lets watch these guys grow up!!!
