Hey, I am just listening to it now for the first time while reading your post. So I am not going to write what I think about it yet (As you said – this deserves a few listens before summerising it in any way) but one thing I will say – This reminds me in a way The Afghan Whigs “Gentlemen” which came in the early 90′s or so. The way they narrate such a story and also by including “her side” of it too (the Whig’s “My curse”…)

It takes alot of guts putting on something like that ,cause if you are not 100% sencere about it, than you suck – but when it works – than you’ve got yourself a masterpiece.

Will, I really enjoyed your review. I wrote about Hospice a couple of months ago, this album completely rattled me. From start to finish, it’s engrossing. I don’t expect it to fall from my #1 spot for 2009. And I cannot believe this guy is in his early 20s, he’s magnificent.

& I’m seeing The Antlers in 2 weeks!!!
