Many people when discussing Grizzly band, hit on the topic of which singer they favor more. Ed Droste or Dan Rossen. Personally I love Ed’s haunting lyrics more. But, Dan Rossens vocals are equally as strong.

Dan really shows off his talent with this stunning cover of Judee Sill’s “Waterfall”. It is a cover done for a tribute album for Judee Sill : Crayon Angel: A Tribute to the Music of Judee Sill.

This was my introduction to anything Judee Sill. She was a talented singer/songwriter who tragically died in 1979 from accidenty drug overdose and the age of 35. She released two highly respected albums. However, the song that Dan chose was from a demos/rarities collection of hers that was released.

As expected it is a beautiful gem. He has a magical touch, thats for sure. His signature vocals and oddly tuned guitar can please me anytime.
