UK duo The Big Pink have caught my ear recently. Their sound is epic, to say the least. Their blend of dreamy shoegaze rock is something that needs to be heard. They’re begging you.
With epic songs like “Velvet”, you hear the epic ambitious sound that rivals U2′s finest moments. This song is the ultimate dreamy shoe gaze song for slackers in their garages. There is a persistent beat and a haunting atmosphere that adds ton of texture. The track is drenched with fuzz and grit, dirty guitars, and strong vocals. You also got their newest single “Stop The World” showcases the bands ability to right a song with a fine pop sensibility with a big, catchy, chorus. They got talent.
The Big Pink are definitely ones to keep an eye on. They are currently signed to 4AD and working on their untitled debut album. With early songs of this quality, there is definitely a good reason for excitement!

Really like this! Usually nothing bores me quicker than the label shoegaze, but “Velvet” has a great sound, thanks for sharing!

ha thanks for the advice. sometimes these things get thrown together quickly. what can i say?
