[NEW] The Cribs – We Were Aborted

The Cribs are back. This time they have added a new member. Not just any member, it is a man named Johnny Marr. He’s only played guitar in The Smiths and Modest Mouse. No biggy.

They have released a brand new track called “We Were Aborted” on their website for free download. It is the leading track off their upcoming album Ignore The Ignorant. The impact of Marr is immediately felt on the record. Apparently it was the first that they wrote with him too!

I am enjoying this track greatly right now. It is a great urgent guitar track with a friendly Cribs chorus. Having this and “Crying Lightning” blasting away will make this week go by easier.

Ignore The Ignorant comes out September 8th.

I first read that Marr was playing with Cribs abozt a year ago – your blog is hardly breaking news is it?
“He only has played guitar in The Smiths and Modest Mouse.” No shit? Really? And by the way, are those two acts of equal importance in your mind?

“He only has played…” Is English your first language? I hope not.

The “he only has played” was a sarcastic way to show how much the guy has done. He has been a part of 2 pretty big bands. I never did say that the Smiths or Modest Mouse were of equal importance. I also never claimed that this is breaking news.

Thanks for being so respectful. Have a nice day.

No, ‘Mike’ is right. It should be “He’s only played…” not “He only has played…”. Your grammar is pretty bad, sir.
