Lead singer and front man  Julian Casablancas officially announced his plan to release his own album titled Phrazes for the Young. It is due to come out this fall.

Yep, another Strokes man in a side project. Why not? Albert Hammond, Jr. went solo, Nikolai is in Nickey Eye, and Fabrizio is in Little Joy. Nick Valensi seems to be the only man patiently waiting this break out.

This is exciting news and all, but I am sure I speak for millions when I wonder when the new Strokes record will come out already. Sigh.
