The “originators of trip hop” Massive Attack are back with a new EP and the world is ready for them once again. The EP is called Splitting The Atom, and so far there are two tracks out there for you to relish in.

This is my first time listening to the Bristol duo, and I am really enjoying them. Their moody trip hop really does wonders with some good headphones late at night.

The two tracks that I have are Pray For Rain (which features Tunde Adebimpe from TV On The Radio), and the title track “Splitting The Atom featuring The 3D, Daddy G, and Horace Andy.

There is a lot going on in each track. So many different genres and styles blended into one form of music. To call these guys unique wouldn’t be doing them enough justice. They pick guest vocalists for their songs, and each one is picked with care. Both songs featuring perfect vocalists that only benefit them. TVOTR’s Tunde Adebimpe is beyond awesome on Pray For Rain.
