I turn 19 today. Yeah, I am young. I am the youngest one out of all my friends here at college. I’m not posting this in order to get attention for my birthday, rather I am posting it to share my thoughts on birthdays and whatnot.
It is weird having a birthday at college. Last year I had a day off and went home to see Ben Folds live on my 18th birthday. Weird looking back on past birthdays, and realizing how fast time has gone by!
I have a test in british fiction tomorrow, and a lot of creative writing poems to catch up on, so I can’t really fuck around today and slack off or celebrate. It’s not a big deal though, I’ve never really been big on birthdays. I will allow myself to be a bum this weekend in order to celebrate!
It’s more of reality kicking you in the face. It is my last year in the teens, now that is a bit scary! Some of my friends are turning 20 and even 21 soon. Makes me feel slightly out of the loop!
Today is a lazy/study day so I don’t have anything “new” to share with you guys. Sorry that the blog has been lamer than usual ever since I returned to college…I’m still trying to balance school/social life with the blog. Even after blogging for a year I am still learning!
So yeah, cheers to my 18th year, and lets hope my 19th year is a good one!

Happy Birthday again, Will! Here, here on the balancing blogging with everything else. A couple of my friends have started blogs, but they’ve become defunct bc it’s just tough to keep at it. A blog has to be a love letter to something – which is what yours is. Take breaks when you need them, school matters most, but do know that we’ll keep checking back! xo.
