R.I.P. Oasis

By Will, October 11th 2009 MP3 News

This is a few days old, but  everyone’s favorite British band is officially kaput. Liam confirmed the obvious to the media yesterday. Noel walked out on the band a month ago, leaving the band’s future up in the air. Well the band is apparently no more.

Here is what he had to say:

“Well, Oasis is no longer. I think we all know that. So that’s done,” he explained. “It’s a shame, but that’s life. We had a good run at it. The thing about Oasis is no-one… we ended Oasis. No-one ended it for us. Which was pretty, kind of… cool. I’m thinking of what the next step is musically, which is all my mind’s on.”

We all sort of saw this coming, it’s just sad to think of the once really great band Oasis just end so bitterly.

Don’t Look Back In Anger….yea…ok

I’m surprised this hasn’t really been discussed more on the ‘net. Have Oasis really become that irrelevant? There is no doubt that Oasis is one of the best British bands of recent memory. Does it get any better than Definitely Maybe & (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? I know Oasis have been iffy over the past few years, but I really enjoyed their last album Dig Out Your Soul.

Thank god I saw them live last December! Plus, you never know with the Gallagher brothers..we could see them back in a few months for all that we know!
