[NEW] The Killers – A White Demon Love Song

Most people seemed to shrug of Day & Age. While most people would agree it is probably the Killers weakest album so far, it still has plenty of great shiny moments.

When I saw that they were on the Twilight Soundtrack, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I sure didn’t expect the quality tune that is “A White Demon Love Song”. The song is excellent! (God, why is the twilight soundtrack so orgasmic???)

“A White Demon Love Song” song starts out beautifully. Not something you expect to hear in a description of a Killers song, right? It begins with some ambient guitars, not too far away from sounding Sigur Ros! Then over a looped creepy piano line The Killers begin to harmonize. The song slowly builds into something really enjoyable.

This song sounds like a b-side off of Sam’s Town. I loved Sam’s Town.

The Killers really do sound amazing at certain moments. This sure is one of them!

They just need to be themselves. I feel like they try to hard sometimes. They just not to refrain a little, and let the tunes come naturally. Brandon Flowers is my homeboy!

I don’t believe anything from this band. Brandon Flowers is as real a 3 dollar bill. Poser poster boy

I agree, they try too hard, they want to become the Rolling Stones with one bombastic, over-produced album or something, it’s a shame really…

Meh!… It’s still all about Hot Fuss for me. Anyone else think that it briefly sounds like Simon and Garfunkel and then The Beatles in the beginning?

The Killers are the best band out there! They are original in everything they do. The music, the beat, the lyrics are perfect. Brandon Flowers has the most beautiful voice and shines like a star when performing live. A fantastic frontman. Day and Age rocks!

Agree this sounds like a solid b-side, decent for an atmospheric soundtrack, and people seem to love to hate The Killers, but we’re lucky to have a big pop rock band still regularly producing big, fun music and not trying to save the world.

My gosh.. Love the Killers & love this song…..But does anyone have a clue as to what the hell Brandon’s talking about on this track??

Lol, I love the song, really ambient & kinda beautiful with a moody vibe…..but can someone break down these lyrics to me, besides the obvious (Brandon calling R.Patz a white demon) lol.. Is it just me, or do most Killers songs kinda make no sense after a verse or two??

I totally agree with Dawn. There is nothing wrong with Day & Age, and – being a Twilight fan myself (but not a baised one…I didn’t love everything on the soundtrack) – the song was completely beautiful in context for New Moon, and a stunning piece from the Killers without the film to ‘give it meaning’.

Seriosuly. This song is sad and stunning.
