[Video] Julian Casablancas – 11th Dimension (Live on Conan)

By Will, October 28th 2009 — with 1 comment Video

Julian performed his single “11th Dimension” last night on Conan. It was his big debut in the US and I hate to say that it was a pretty dissapointing performance. The band seemed sorta flat, and lacked a lot of energy. I think the sound on Conan didn’t help them though. Something may have been wrong with his mic, his vocals don’t seem high enough in the mix.

I’m sure they will get better as they play more and more. Lets hope!!!

I don’t think the band got off to too bad a start.
The moustached drummer looks like he can hold a beat, although I think the snare was too loud in the mix.
I agree, Jules vox were a little low, could have used more, since he is the focus of the music.
But TV shows are so hard to make it sound good. I bet the live audience heard a much larger sound than what actually made it into the soundboard and into our TVs or Youtube screens on the InterWebs — cuz they shouted like they’d just seen a victory lap.
