Arcade Fire – Maps (Yeah Yeah Yeahs Cover)

Maps is one of the finest songs of this decade. It is as close to perfect as they come! I can put it on at anytime and just let the music take over.

You can’t help but be interested when a band like Arcade Fire take the song into their own hands and give it their own interpretation. The song’s atmosphere is still there, but it has enough of the Arcade Fire’s strings and influences to make it their own. Win Butler and Régine Chassagne’s vocals are well suited for this song.

This cover isn’t new or anything, but I have rediscovered it, and wanted to share it with you guys! Me and my friends were really set on renting out this house for the next 2 years of college, but it isn’t going to work out. The house is pretty nice, but the area is complete shit. Some places downtown here are really shitty, and we just happened to look at a house in the heart of it.

Today was stressful and this song helped put my mind at ease. The search will continue!

Awesome find, I don’t know how I haven’t come across this track before. Definitely agree with being able to put the original on at any time. I must have played that song at least 100 times in the original Rock Band and it still hasn’t gotten old. Keep the great finds comin’, love em.
