It’s 8 A.M. and I haven’t slept yet! Why do I continue to mess up my sleep schedule? I know I’m fucking it up, yet I continue to sleep at horrible hours. Luckily I am home for thanksgiving break, so I am allowed to sleep in tomorrow! I was about to pass out, but I checked my gmail and got a pleasant surprise:
The Futureheads are back with a brand new song called “Struck Dumb”. The song will be on their currently untitled 4th album which will come out sometime early in 2010. The song does not shy away from the classic angular guitar rock of The Futureheads. Their trademark vocals are still in perfect harmony, sounding very british, and very polished! The song features a pretty great guitar riff, which is not surprising coming from the FH”s. Strangely, at the same time it doesn’t sound like a usual riff that you’d expect to hear from them!
It is good to have The Futureheads back! Their last album This Is Not The World was a pretty good listen, but sadly it was under appreciated by the music community! I have a really good feeling about their next one!
