I am really struggling to get through this lat bit of work, so finding out amazing news like this isn’t helping the concentration! Arcade Fire are making their way back into our lives! The Canadian indie rockers are almost finished with their 3rd album, and they are preparing to make their live return sometime this year!
This is all accoding to Billboard and BBC. According to them, Arcade Fire have spent the past 6 months recording the new album with producer Markus Dravs. Markus has worked with the band before, playing as Neon Bible’s engineer. Apparently Dravs has called the band’s new songs “better”. If the band writes anything better than “Wake Up”, “Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)”, or “Rebellion (Lies)” on this album, then we are in for the best album of 2010!!
Rumor is that they will have a big spot at some big music festivals in the US, so I am crossing my fingers for a NYC show (APW??)!! More Arcade Fire is always a GREAT thing. Enjoy the b-side “Brazil below”:
