A girl I was with convinced one of the guys from SSLYBY (I shockingly don't remember which) to walk to our car just up the street from the Fox theater in Boulder a few years back to smoke a bowl with us. It was awesome and he was the nicest person ever. Seriously. The crazy part is that Boris Yeltsin died within the week. The CRAZIER part is that years before I even lived in Boulder I went to see Blind Melon there. Amazing. Shannon Hoon died two days later. The CRAZIEST part is that my three favorite musicians (excluding the aforementioned talented Mr. Hoon) from my teen years all died within about four years of "discovering" them: First Bradley Nowell, Then Jeff Buckley, then Elliott Smith (well 03, so more like 7 years for E.S.) I thought I was cursed for a long time. I still get scared to go to shows sometimes. Seriously. True story. Crazy but true story.
