[NEW] Pantha Du Prince – The Splendour

By Will, December 7th 2009 — with 2 comments MP3

One of the finer electronic DJ’s has to be Pantha Du Prince. It’s very rare that I am moved emotionally by electronic music. This is not the case with Pantha Du Prince. It is nearly the opposite. I would be stunned to hear a song by him that didn’t move me. His stuff is so dark and moving, it is always enhanced with a good pair of headphones when the night is the darkest.

GVB just posted that Pantha Du Prince is back with a new single titled “The Splendour”! Of course, this comes with the announce of a new album, very appropriately called Black Noise. Panda Bear himself guest stars on the album!

The song is not too shy of being called an electronic/minimal ambient masterpiece of sorts. Let this one get absorbed into your mind, and let it do all the thinking for you. Words aren’t necessary in Pantha Du Prince’s music, so I think it is right to leave descriptions out of this and let the music do all the talking:

Black Noise comes out on Feb 9th!
