Grizzly Bear are one of the true treasures in today’s music world. After releasing albums such as Yellow House, Veckatimest, and Horn Of Plenty, it is safe to say they are one of my favorite bands on the 2000’s. Not many artists can compare to Grizzly Bear’s phenomenal discography. The scary thing is, they are really just getting started!
They recently showed their great ability as musicians when they covered Hot Chip’s electro-rock classic “Boy From School” for the Australian radio station Triple J. Grizzly Bear effortlessly transformed the song to their own unique folky style. Beautiful vocals, clean harmonies, and a sense of familiarity. The song sounds like it is their own, and I gotta say, that is quite the feat considered they crossed genres.
This is a great cover, one that you should not miss.I saw it at I Guess I’m Floating and have been listening it to in on replay for the last 30 minutes. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!
