It IS great that they reinvent themselves every album. Unfortunately their last two reinventions sucked arse compared to the first three. It took a mere six months for them to write and record Head First – and it shows. When artists become happier in their personal lives their music tends to suffer. Alison Goldfrapp must be the happiest she’s ever been.

I’m with Kris V, ‘Lovely Head’ is the way to go. Definitely listen to Felt Mountain first.

If you’re getting into Goldfrapp definitely listen to “Happiness” from Seventh Tree, “Ooh La La” from Supernature, “Strict Machine” from Black Cherry, and “Lovely Head” from Felt Mountain. Every album they reinvent themselves, it’s great.
