Fall Out Boy = Breaking Up?

By Will, February 4th 2010 — with 15 comments News

The word out the street is the sell out boy is breaking up? Is this true? Will our ears no longer be plagued with them? I admit, when I was a young 12 year old I thought that Chicago Is So Two Years Ago was a decent song. Then again, I was 12, and a main reason I liked it was because my crush at the time showed it to me. I forgot about them for a bit then after. Green Day was my shit.

Then this big poppy song called Sugar, We’re Goin Down got shoved down my throat by the man and I realized that this band lost something along the way. Or maybe they just seemed a little bit better when I was 12 and had my crush there to comfort my belief that this band was actually “ok”.

The years have gone by, and I think we all know what the outcome is. Compare them to that band that I was introduced in 2008, and it’s a pretty drastic change, isn’t it? I pretty much hate Fall Out Boy’s music, especially for what it stands for now.

They aren’t officially dead, but a lot of people think so.

I hope this is true. I certainly won’t miss anything about them.

P.S. , Why is Pete Wenz so popular????

Take This To Your Grave was a fantastic pop-punk album. Can’t say the same for the rest of their catalog.

Oh please, was this post necessary? I say you should focus on what you like and don’t waste 200 words on a band that’s obviously not worth your time. Posts stomping on a band’s break-up (this was someone’s career, livelihood, dream, etc.) are just tacky.

I disagree. As someone who dislikes fallout boy just as much, Im glad to see someone else reveling in their demise. And I think its pretty safe to say that everyone in fallout boy has achieved their ‘dream’ and have a pretty solid pile of cash to sit back on.

Oh please, was your post necessary?

@Luis – I guess it wasn’t neccessary, but it was some music related news, and i put my opinion in about it. i dislike them very much, so i put that in my post, pretty heavily. they are big boys, they can take it. I post plenty of positive stuff here. This is one of the handful of negative things I’ve ever done on we all want someone.

    @ Matt – Sure? Haha

how dare you. fall out boy is the epitome of good music, their lyrics make me cry everytime they come on because they are so good. Their music takes so much skill to perform and they will be sorely missed.

    yeah that was complete sarcasm.
