Hot damn! We got brand new Dr. Dog and it’s hot and delicious! It’s called “Shadow People” and it will be on their new album : Shame, Shame. The album is set for a release on April 6th. It’s their debut album for Anti-Records. This is their fifth album!

“Shadow People” is an excellent song constructed around a pretty stellar melody. The vocals are full of emotion and honesty. The band sounds as tight as ever, playing one of their best songs yet. It is certainly one of my favorite songs from the boys yet!

Stereogum got to exclusively premiere the song, and report that the new album is heavily based about their hometown in Philadelphia. Jim James from My Morning Jacket apparently lended a hand for some guest vocals! Pretty sweet!
