New album from The National on May 11th!

By Will, February 21st 2010 — with 1 comment News

Rolling Stone just posted an “In The Studio” feature with The National. From it we got the official release date of their still untitled new album. It will grace our ears “officially” on May 11th. Thank the heavens! Guitarist Aaron Dessner describes the album as both “darker/meaner” and “catchier like a pop album”. Hmm..interesting! Pretty much conflicting sounds, but I trust the National!

The article has some more details which you can get from the article right here. Chances are this is going to be one of my favorite albums of the year!

Last week I had a dream that I was reading WAWS and you had just posted news about The National’s new album title. I can’t remember what it was… all I remember was it was one word long. You heard it here first ;)
