(The National @ All Points West 2009. © Will Oliver)

Got a nice mp3 of “Terrible Love” for you to carry around your ipods. ‘Cause I need to hear this bad boy while I am driving home tonight (seeing Free Energy/Foreign Born tomorrow!) So enjoy this until we get a real studio version of this new National gem.

The recorded album version of this song is so much worse than this. I don’t know how they managed to butcher it so badly, but the producer should be shot.

When I heard this song before the album hit i got so excited…the i’ve version is incredible and i can keep listening to it over and over. the tempo changes are really intense. The version on the album is pretty shitty though, with pretty bad sound mixing so that you can’t really get the full effect of the percussion and guitar. otherwise the album is pretty good
