Through my blog, I have gotten to know loads of great music, great musicians, and great people. Including all of you readers. What is there not to like? However, all good things must come to an end.
Some people say that you should go out at your best, so I am going to do just that. I have run out of steam here on we all want someone to shout for. I just don’t see the point in blogging anymore. Is anyone reading? Am I actually showing good bands to people? Is it worth my time? This blog is just starting to feel like a job to me, and it shouldn’t. There are also some personal reasons invested in this decision, but I will save those for another time. I rather go out when I feel comfortable leaving my best work.
I had a good run guys, and I left you with a pretty cool concert review and new Black Keys song. Not too bad of an exit eh? Maybe you will see me around on another publication or something. But I think my time here is pretty much wrapped up. I hope you will forgive me. Someday, you may understand.

Will, I am so upset!!!!! Your blog is my favorite music blog, hands down. I am really really sorry to see it go (and I guarantee you will miss it). With that said, I completely understand how it started to feel like a job. Honestly, I am not sure how you did it all this time. I’ve always marveled at how amazing WAWSTSF has been … usually sites that have more than one post per day have a staff of contributors making it happen.
I remember when getting free music, promos, band contacts, interviews, free tickets, inciting shrieks of delight, but it sort of fades with time. It just required A LOT of work. Again, I don’t know how you did it.
If you ever want to post on my site (are you still contributing to Pretty Much Amazing), let me know! My blog has become less musicky & more personal, but I’d love to post an album review from a good friend w impeccable taste from time to time.
But frankly …. I think you will be back.
