MTV’s Buzzworthy Blog preimired another new song from The Hold Steady’s new album Heaven Is Whenever. It’s the third cut that we have gotten from my album. We previously got Hurricane J and Rock Problems. Kudos to the band for given us three songs to listen to. They clearly know what it takes in order to get people excited for an album.

It starts slow and dramatic with a brooding bassline and composed tapping of the bass drum. It maintains it’s flare for the dramatic even when the guitars kick in. It’s pretty damn anthematic, so I’m just going to pretend they never said it wasn’t going to be. The Hold Steady sound confident and in control, this song is easily the best one out of the three we have been given. I really like this one.

Hey weekend kids, this one is for you!
