Last Saturday I saw the new Noah Baumbach film Greenberg, starring Ben Stiller. It wasn’t your typical Stiller role. It was a pretty serious indie drama. I really enjoyed the movie.

The reason I am posting about Greenberg is because the soundtrack has some pretty stellar songs. You may remember the LCD Soundsystem song “Oh You (Christmas Blues)” which I posted a few weeks ago. That is one of the many James Murphy songs featured on the soundtrack. The soundtrack also includes great selections from artists like The Steve Miller Band, Albert Hammond (The Strokes Albert Hammond Jr.’s Father), Galaxie 500, and Duran Duran.

The movie had me really involved partially because of the engaging movie that complimenting the scenes so well. James Murphy really did a great job writing original songs for the film. I have selected my favorite offering from the soundtrack and posted them below. I hope you like it. Please go see Greenberg if it’s in a theater near you. Support indie flicks!!
