The National have just announced a show on May 15th at The Brooklyn Academy of Music. I believe it is a part of their special week long “High Violet week”. The show is more than just a special one off show. The entire show will be streamed live on Youtube as a webcast, and directed by the famous 74 year old director D.A. Pennebaker. He is well known for the Bob Dylan 1965  tour film Don’t Look Back.

The show is also a benefit show for the Red Hot Organization, which the Dessner twins from The National raised money for on their compilation album, Dark Was The Night.

There is a American Express Pre-Sale for fans on Thursday and a General Admission sale on Friday. Once I find out when tickets are on sale, I will do a post. I am going to try my hardest to get tickets. Even though I am lined up to see The National twice this summer, this show sounds like it is going to be pretty unique. Special guests are expected, so I can only hope all the people who performed on High Violet will be there.
