The A.V. Club have a series called Undercover where they hand picked 25 songs for bands to cover and then allow bands to choose from the pre-selected songs. Once a song is covered, it is crossed off and a limited number of choices are available.
The Clientele‘s turn was up and they decided to cover M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes”. You may have heard of it. On paper they wouldn’t seem like a good fit to cover the song but they actually gave it a really nice spin.
