For the iTunes release of LCD Soundsystem’s latest album, This Is Happening, LCD Soundsystem covered Paperclip People’s “Throw” as a itunes exclusive bonus track. Paperclip People is Carl Craig, a producer/dj who has a heavy hand in the Detroit underground techno/dance scene. The original version of “Throw” is pretty close to a perfect 15 minute long electronic jam.
James Murphy spices the song up with crunchy bass, shuffling drums, hypnotizing synth attacks, and plenty of blissful effects. When he finally speaks, lets just say he hits some of his highest notes to date. This is as worthy a cover as any. A must have for any fans of electronic/dance music. Give it a try:

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The chances of me buying an entire download for one track (iTunes will not sell the track separately) were nil.
I’ve already got the original … so CC already got his money!

[...] LCD Soundsystem only featured nine-tracks on their latest release “This Is Happening”. If that wasn’t enough for you on the iTunes version of the album it comes with a bonus track, ‘Throw’ a cover of Cral Craig’s Paperclip project. The song like most of the songs on the album is extremely long like all the other songs on the albumm, besides ‘Drunk Girls’, being 10-minutes long but it still doesn’t reach the original which was 15-minutes long. While listening to it you can hear the track’s fuzzy bass and Jame Murphy’s high pitch yelps as the track progresses until the end when he just lets loose. You can download the song below.
