[new] Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin – Sink/Let it Sway

By Will, May 24th 2010 — with 7 comments MP3

I saw Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin live this past winter when they came to play at my school for free. I was only somewhat familiar with them before the show, but after the show, I became a believer. The band impressed me with their live show, proving to me that they are a highly underrated act that deserves to break out. After the show, the bands very own John Robert Cardwell told me that Death Cab for Cutie’s Chris Walla was producing their next album. That left me even more excited for their 3rd album, which should only help the band obtain the popularity that they deserve.

Last Friday the band announced that there new album, Let It Sway, is coming out August 17th on Polyvinyl Records. This announcement came with a free download of a song called “Sink/Let It Sway”. It is a masterful guitar driven song that really shows the bands ability to craft a near perfect pop-rock song. Chris Walla did a good job with the production, surely bringing the best out of the Springfield Missouri boys. I have listened to the song 8 times already today. Sounds like a perfect song for the upcoming summer months.

Can’t wait to see these guys explode this year. They deserve it.
