Modern Skirts are set to release their Happy 81 EP on July 6th. It is an EP showing a new direction for the Athens, Georgia band. The songs on this EP are taken from cassette demoes that the band never thought would see the light of day. Take “Rebecca St. Claire”. It’s a raw song that relies on good storytelling over light strumming of an acoustic guitar. It’s simple, but really nice. Check it out:
