The Morning Benders dropped by NPR to play some songs for their World Cafe sessions. The performances are a spot on indication of what the band brings to their live performances. After hearing their amazing NPR session, I just got even more excited about their free show at Governors Island this Saturday. I actually ran into Chris after The National’s show at Radio City, and he said to get there early, as the space is pretty limited. So make sure you leave your time wiggle room to get there.
I got some mp3′s from their session posted below. You can also check out the full stream here. After hearing this session, you better go out and see them the next time they roll past your town.

The Morning Benders Visit The World Cafe « The FADER — 2 Sep 10
[...] The Morning Benders found their way to NPR’s World Café for a live session. They played four tracks, all from their standout album Big Echo. The songs are classic West Coast slow jam, a great ease into summer. The boys are playing a free show this Saturday in New York City at Governor’s Island, so if you’re in the area, swim, fly or sail there tomorrow evening for the show. If you’re not, listen to the live set here. We claim no responsibility for the impulse hammock purchase afterward. (Via We All Want Someone To Shout For) [...]
