I remember how blown away I was when I discovered Dead Confederate’s anguish heavy song “The Rat”. It’s good to see the band is on the way with a follow up to Wrecking Ball. The new album is called Sugar, and the band has given us a new song called “Giving It All Away” to snack on until Sugar’s August 24th release date.
“Giving It All Away” features J. Mascis of the legendary indie rockers Dinosaur Jr. The band toured with Dino Jr. before, and it looks like it did them some good. As expected, the guitar work is great. You can certainly hear the influence of Mr. Mascis in the band. I’m liking this new sound. Lets hope this is the type of quality that the rest of Sugar brings.
