A new of Montreal song called “Hydra Fancies” is now available to listen thanks to Some Kind of Awesome. The song sees the bands return to their more funky side after the guitar heavy “Coquet Coquette” (which is one of my favorite songs from 2010 so far). With influences taken from disco, electro, and soul/funk, this song is a ton of fun for the ears.
This song will appear on of Montreal’s new album False Priest, which is an album that I’m really looking forward to hearing this fall. It’s released on September 14th via Polyvinyl.
