Remember when Pharrell Williams, Santigold, and Julian Casablancas got together for Converse to collaborate and create a song called “My Drive Thru”? Well, now Converse have gathered Kid Cudi, Best Coast, and Rostam from Vampire Weekend to create their next song. It’s called “All Summer” and it’s major league.
It starts with Cudi rapping over a simple yet effective drum beat, with Beth floating in the background. Rostam’s production explodes with an incredible chorus from Beth of Best Coast, and the song just takes off in flight. All three are great artists in their own right, and together they are an eclectic team that created something special. Rostam has grown into one of the game’s best producers, and if this song doesn’t convince you so, then I don’t know what else to say.
