Sean Carey (whose going by S. Carey) is the percussionist in Bon Iver. He is gearing up his own solo debut, All We Grow, set for release on August 24th via Jagjaguwar. He will open for The Tallest Man on Earth starting this September.
For now enjoy the first single from his album, “In The Dirt”. It’s a soulful song that certainly carries over some of the emotion from Bon Iver. The song is very pretty. I’m impressed Mr. Carey.

Great song. Not very vocal heavy- guess he won’t be competing with Mr Iver anytme soon. But still, this song is lovely….
