[new] Beck – Summertime (From Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Sountrack)

Beck recorded songs for Michael Cera’s fictional band Sex Bob-Omb in the upcoming movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The movies that made the cut are in the movie and the actors sing over them. However there were also some songs that didn’t make the cut, and are being added as bonus tracks on the deluxe versions of the album. “Summertime” is one of these songs, and itunes has made it available to purchase already.

It’s a grungy 2 minute rocker with fuzzy guitars that older Beck fans will adore. You can stream it below:

The movie’s trailer is posted below:

[...] Beck is set to provide music for the soundtrack of the new Michael Cera movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The music that he wrote was performed by Michael Cera’s band Sex-Bob-Omb in the movie, however on the edition of the soundtrack with bonus tracks the songs are performed by Beck, now the first of the three songs has hit the internet you can hear Beck performing the song ‘Summertime’. Typical Beck can be heard in the track with heavily distorted guitars and Beck’s inaudible vocals heard in the background. You can hear the track below and buy it here.
