I just rediscovered Apartment’s 2007 debut album The Dreamer Evasive. I don’t know how these guys didn’t blow up more, but I remember instantly falling in love with them the instant I heard the triumphant “10000 Times” & the powerful “Beyond My Control”. These songs got better with age. They sound even better than I remembered them.
I just went to the band’s myspace and just found out from the band’s frontman David Caggiari via a blog post that the band is now defunct. This is pretty damn depressing considering the same day that I re-discover my love for the band, I find out they broke up last month. That’s the world we live in, isn’t it? Dave is in a new band called Age Of Giants.
So yeah Apartment is no more but here’s to hoping that one of you discover them for the first time and enjoy their music.
