Kings Of Leon Announce New Album: Come Around Sundown

By Will, August 9th 2010 — with 3 comments News

Kings Of Leon have just announced that their new album, Come Around Sundown, is going to be released on October 19th. The announcement on the band’s website said that the album was recorded in New York at Avatar Studios and produced once again by Angelo Petraglia and Jacquire King.

I’m a long time KOL fan and will continue to support the band. Most people have turned their back on them after the worldwide success of the band after “Use Somebody”. I’m interested to see where the band goes on this album. I’m sure its going to be stadium friendly and huge, but honestly, it’s what the boys were built for. They always wanted this success, and they’ve most certainly earned it.

Come Around Sundown is going to be the bands biggest release yet. Let’s see how it goes!

There’s a clip of KoL performing a new song called “Immortals” at a recent concert. The song sounds like a pretty standard Kings of Leon affair. You can watch it here:

nice to see a blogger who isn’t a hipster and who hasn’t ditched them since they’ve become famous! can’t wait for the album!

I wouldn’t have minded their last album’s sound if they could have backed it up with decent songs. But filling stadiums is undoubtedly what they want, so I won’t really be surprised if the tunes suffer in favour of huge production.
