Sufjan Stevens is one of my favorite artists in general, and one that I have tried to see live, but never have. Well that is hopefully going to change when Sufjan comes to NYC for a two day residency at the Beacon Theater on November 14th & 15th.
One can only assume hope that this tour is hinting at a new album. The prospect of a potentially new album is exciting. I’m sure he will play plenty of new songs, along with all his classics. I am aiming for the November 14th show as it is a Sunday, as I will be back at college, and it’s hard for me to make NYC shows during the week.
The show goes on pre-sale tomorrow at 1pm (for once a convenient time!) All of the venues he is playing are some of the most historic around, so trust me when I say this will be worth your hard earned $35. If you miss out on pre-sale tix, head to the Asthmatic Kitty Records site for more info on what to do.
I can’t wait for the show. I hope to see you there!
Check out the dates, after the jump.

Asthmatic Kitty site isn’t very useful regarding presale ticket access for some Canadian cities. It says pre sale tickets are subject to WILL CALL ONLY restrictions but the venue he is playing at it Toronto doesn’t have a WILL CALL Box office and you can only buy tickets online for that venue. anyone have any additional helpful info on how to access pre sale for massey hall?
