[mp3]: Arkells – John Lennon

By Will, August 10th 2010 — with 3 comments MP3

I never heard of this Canadian band Arkells until tonight. I was sent their song “John Lennon”, and it’s damn good. It has this American garage rock vibe with some jazz elements layered on top. These dudes sound like they have a lot of talent. “John Lennon” was on their debut album Jackson Square, which was originally released in 2008. It’s being released on Dine Alone Records this August 10th on iTunes.

Don’t know how I missed these guys, but I’m glad to have found them. Their sound is straight up rock & roll.
