Seattle’s The Head and The Heart are a local favorite in the rainy city. They hand craft high quality music that’s engaging. It hits home. It tugs those heart strings. It seems familiar, because it’s lyrics are emotional and heartfelt.

They’ve garnered praise for their self titled debut album, and it’s for good reason. Yet that’s not good enough for me. The Head and The Heart should be getting more widespread acclaim. Their music hits home, and that my friend, is what music is all about.

Below, you can grab two songs from the album that were approved to share from the band. You’ll hear traces of folk rock storytellers such as Josh Ritter. There is plenty to appreciate in their songs, and I think you guys will be floored by these guys. If your not hit hard by the sudden shift in “Sounds Like Hallelujah”, then you gotta check your soul.

They say there’s plenty of beauty in this world, and with songs like “Sounds Like Hallelujah”, I’m starting believe it.
