Hey world. It’s nice to write to you guys again. For some reason it feels like it’s been a long time. I had a loooong weekend filled with plenty of good, and some bad. But fuck the bad, the good was good, and often, great. I went home Sunday to catch Klaxons, and it was phenomenal. That post is coming soon.
Belle and Sebastian leaked this weekend and every indie kid in the world rejoiced to the sweet, sweet, heavens above. I know I did. To be honest, I played “I Want The World To Stop” first, before even giving the whole album a solid run through. Why did I do that? Well, I have been dying to hear it ever since I heard them play it on their TV show. It left quite an impression on me when I first heard it, and I wanted to see if the recorded version did it justice.
It did. It’s phenomenal. Deep dirty bass, gorgous vocals, harmonies that would glaze over and clean the dirtiest streets up here in Binghamton. When Belle and Sebastian are on, boy are they, on!
I can’t stop listening to this song, and I wanted you all to get a glimpse of this treasure. It’s stream only. It’s off their new album Belle And Sebastian Write About Love which drops on October 12th via Matador.
