As previously reported, Cold War Kids are releasing a new album on January 25th of 2011 called Mine Is Yours.
They have put up a new song from Mine Is Yours called “Royal Blue” for streaming, and it’s quite a sunny track. The bassline is fat, the vintage rock sound is still there, but there is something different about this new tune. It’s upbeat and sunny and the band sounds comfortable.
Gone is the pressure of the always feared 2nd album. The band seems like they are back to doing there thing. They aren’t worried about the haters anymore. That’s the way it should be.
