Next year, on 1/11/11, Tapes ‘n Tapes will release Outside, their follow up to 2008′s Walk It Off. The band has made first single “Freak Out” available to snag as a free download, and it’s a pretty great song. It has this bar rock and roll appeal that the band has nailed down to pact. It has a lot of different influences spread within it’s bones, providing a little bit of fun for everyone. Something about it seems sort of epic to me. It doesn’t quite jump of the bat, but it slowly builds towards it. You can bet people are going to freak out to this one live.
I’m really enjoying this song. I hope the rest of the album is this strong.
