Ravens & Chimes first captured my heart when they opened for Voxtrot’s last show ever. They played a lot of great new songs at that show, most of which will be on their upcoming new album Holiday Life. “Division St.” was one of those songs, and the band has made it available for us to listen.
“Division St. successfully captures feelings of loneliness and pain through melodies that are meticulously crafted. It’s sad but also upbeat, a little bit of Arcade Fire, if you will. Don’t get me wrong, these guys have an original sound which they have down to pact. I expect a big 2011 for them.
