Strange Talk – Climbing Walls

There’s a large amount of good music coming from down under, as of late. Australians are slowly building up an impressive resume of great artists. The latest addition? Meet Strange Talk.

It came to my attention via a chatbox post from Thomas of We May Be Remembered… , and he was onto something. These guys rule. Their song “Climbing Walls” has me all kinds of addicted right now. Built around a gloriously cheerful chorus, flashy electronics, and a fat bassline…what’s not to love? Even the vocals are crystal clear, in the vein of Thomas Mars of Phoenix. These guys are like a super hybrid of Yeasayer, Passion Pit, and Empire Of The Sun. Their built for success. The vocals are crystal clear, in the vein of Thomas Mars of Phoenix.

I believe this is only a demo, which leaves me even more impressed:

The band will release their debut EP early next year. I bet it’s going to be delicious.
