Chief are one of the coolest new bands around in my opinion. One could say they are modestly filling the void that Fleet Foxes have left. Their debut album Modern Rituals, is one that you shouldn’t be without.
Chief are coming to NYC to play at Bowery Ballroom on December 7th, and you can win a pair of tickets to go. Domino is also offering a copy of Modern Rituals on CD to the same winner. All you got to do to enter is leave a comment telling me your favorite blog, other than this one (of course). Explain why. Best explanation as to why your pick is your favorite, wins.

My favorite blog besides this one is Pigeons and Planes (http://www.pigeonsandplanes.com) because Confusion is a really great blogger whose able to describe songs in insightful and relatable ways. Also, I really enjoy the diversity of their site, ranging from artists like Gucci Mane to Sufjan Stevens. There’s something for everyone, and if you like multiple genres there’s no better place to be.
Anyways, WAWSTSF turned me on to Chief and it would be awesome to go see them live!

I know this is completely un-music realted but my favorite other blog is Minor League Baseball by John Sickel. John has pretty incredible output, is easily contacted, and even sprinkles in some non-baseball stuff like his love for the Doors.
