Vampire Weekend stopped by BBC Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton’s show this morning. They performed a cover of UK Pop Star Cheryl Cole’s “Fight For This Love”.

Here was Ezra’s explanation for the bands “odd” selection:

One day we were in the car driving to the airport and we heard a song that reminded us of K-Ci & JoJo’s ‘All My Life’, which is a very important song for people our age. We were like, ‘This song is awesome.’

I actually can see the connection to “All My Life”. Nice one, guys. The cover itself is a ball of fun. The band has done a lot of touring for Contra, and I can imagine this is a good way to wine down. They even have a brass band backing them. Epic.
